A remodel of a historic Swedish farmhouse dating back to the 1700s, this project was both exciting and rewarding. Our goal was to modernize the home by adding bathrooms and seamlessly integrating modern amenities while transforming the space into something warm and inviting. We were committed to preserving the essence of the original structure while infusing it with a touch of Provençal charm. Situated on 15 acres of stunning countryside, we ensured that every window captured the breathtaking views. The thick, stone-filled walls—nearly 2 feet wide—presented their challenges, typical of construction from centuries past, but overcoming them only made the project more enjoyable, and we’re very pleased with how it all came together.
